Rebecca Tromans is a professional IMA (International Makeup Association) trained makeup artist based in the West Midlands, specialising in bridal and beauty makeup.
"My working life started with me working in an office job for 10 years but after a life changing event, I realised that life was too short to continue in a job that I didn't really enjoy. I desperately wanted a family so I took the time out to have children, and then I decided to pursue my dream of becoming a makeup artist.
So I decided to make the leap and studied at the Central School of Makeup in Birmingham. After qualifying, I started getting in as much practice as I could whilst building my portfolio. After becoming self employed I can now say that I am very lucky to be doing a job that I absolutely love! I love the quote that says "if you do what you love you will never work a day in your life" and I can honestly say that this is so very true.
I think it is really important to make every client feel beautiful but also that you feel comfortable with the look created. I like to give you a look that is just a polished version of 'you'. I am definitely a perfectionist and I take great pride in my work. This means that I continuously work on my skills and techniques and I keep up to date with the latest makeup products available. I have an extensive makeup kit and I use high end professional makeup brands such as Giorgio Armani, Charlotte Tilbury, Tom Ford, NARS, Bobbi Brown, Estee Lauder, Illamasqua, MAC, Hourglass and many more. I am a pro member with MAC, Charlotte Tilbury, Bobbi Brown and Illamasqua but I am not affiliated with any company so I still only use products on my clients that I love and have been extensively tried and tested.
When I'm not doing makeup, I am a proud mum to daughters Grace and Violet. I'm married to James, who is my biggest supporter. He's a teacher now but he used to work as a web developer for years so he has lots of patience to help me when I'm asking him the millionth question about some website technical issue."
