Your wedding day is one of the most special days of your life. It is so important to feel comfortable on such a memorable day so I work with you to create a look that makes you look and feel at your most beautiful. I also know from experience that weddings can be very stressful so as your makeup artist, it is my responsibility to ensure that you feel completely relaxed so that you can enjoy every minute.

I advise that all brides have a makeup trial at least 8-12 weeks before your wedding day. By having a makeup trial I can ensure that you are happy with the finished makeup look before the big day.

During our first meeting we will discuss your wedding in detail as it helps me to build up a picture of your day and then you can tell me about the type of makeup look you would like to go for. Feel free to show me any photos you may have too.

I will then start applying your makeup. I will talk you through every stage and please feel free to change things as we go along. I want you to be completely happy with the way you look so you can feel confident going into your wedding day that you are going to look and feel amazing.

Makeup trials are usually carried out during the daytime as makeup looks better in natural light and then I can also be sure that the makeup used wears perfectly on your skin for the rest of the duration of the day.

Once you are happy with the finished look, I will note down products used on a face chart and take photos to accompany my notes to ensure that the exact same look is recreated on your wedding day.

Trials generally take around 2 hours but there’s no time limit and I won’t leave you until you are 100% happy with the finished bridal look. Trials usually take place at your home or another location of your choice.

On The Day

On your wedding day I will arrive at your chosen venue with plenty of time to set up. Prior to your wedding day I will have already discussed timings for the day with you so that preparations run smoothly and your wedding day morning is completely stress-free. I will require a clear space with a table to set up my kit and ideally in an area of the room with good lighting. I can bring my own chair if required.

It takes around 45 minutes to 1 hour per person for makeup to be applied to the bride and any members of the bridal party. I generally apply makeup to the bridal party first and the bride will generally have her makeup done last of all on the day so that it remains as fresh as possible but plans sometimes change dependent on time and fitting in around your hair stylist.

I always aim to complete the bridal party around an hour before you leave so that you are left with enough time to get into your dresses and have photographs taken. During that last hour I am still available for any last minute touch-ups and I'm happy to assist in any way I can. You'd be surprised at the random things you get asked to help with.

If you require me to stay after the ceremony for any makeup touch-ups or you would like my services later on in the day to transform your day look to an evening look for your reception, then I am able to do this and I can create a bespoke package for you.

If you have a large bridal party, dependent on timings, I may need to sort out another makeup artist to assist on the wedding morning. I do not style bridal hair but I am happy to recommend bridal hair stylists if you need me to. There is a minimum booking number of a bride plus 2 adults.
